My birthday it would have been on June 6th
but my parents decided I shouldn’t exist
Locked in the mind of God…
I have seven siblings here in God’s mind
three will be born but four you won’t find, they’re
Locked in the mind of God…
There’s the pill and there’s latex and fake hormones too
All are prevention from getting me to you.
Locked in the mind of God…
John was lucky, he was born first.
Sue came along, making two she was cool.
Dan was ok, as third he could stay – happily, the three did play.
But then there was Ben, he would have been fourth…
That was until dad’s new boat came forth.
Locked in the mind of God…
My sister Alexis she would have made five
but mom had a different Lexus in mind…
Locked in the mind of God…
Number six would be Jane, number seven Bill,
The pill stopped them both with superior skill.
Locked in the mind of God…
Now there’s me Rose, and I’m number eight
Mom will never see my A’s straight,
I’m really smart you know, here in God’s mind
that cure for cancer I so wanted to find…
Locked in the mind of God…
Here in God’s mind we can’t even play,
for we were never given the chance to see day
Locked in the mind of God…
What about Alexis? A holy sister to be…
What about Ben and his large family?
Jane a mother and Bill a cop?
That was before the means to stop.
Locked in the mind of God…
God knew better when he made Mom and Dad,
He knew we would be the best treasure they had.
But they thought they knew better
they got caught up in the world
having to buy all the lies that it sold.
“More isn’t better when kids are in line,
it’s better to have worldly things that are fine.”
So here in God’s mind the five of us will stay
we’ll never exist to do or to say…
