"Thank you for visiting the NHRTL website.   We defend all innocent human life without exception or compromise because a genuine pro-life ethic insists, like the Declaration of Independence, that we are all created equal.   Thus no babies are "expendable" for the sake of convenience or possibly saving other babies.   Some research, some reflection, and some prayer can reveal to you why focused activism is the most compassionate response for mothers in trouble and babies in jeopardy.    Join NHRTL today and learn how our group, led by 15 volunteer trustees, is fighting for the right to life for all."          -- Ed Holdgate, NHRTL President

  •  PRE-ELECTION ANNOUNCEMENT

NHRTL-PAC implores NH pro-lifers to vote Tuesday, November 2, and expresses earnest support for the following candidates:

GOVERNOR: CRAIG BENSON, who has thankfully
exceeded our expectations for pro-life leadership.

    EXECUTIVE COUNCIL:
Dist 5: DAVE WHEELER, a most faithful defender
    of unborn children and moms.

    NH SENATE:
    Dist 2  SEN. CARL JOHNSON
    Dist 4  SEN. BOB BOYCE
    Dist 9  SEN. SHEILA ROBERGE
    Dist 11  PETER BRAGDON
    Dist 17  SEN. JACK BARNES
    Dist 18  SEN. ANDY MARTEL
    Dist 19  HON. BOB LETOURNEAU
    Dist 23  SEN. RUSS PRESCOTT

"Courageous and tenacious pro-life candidates abound in the election," said NHRTL-PAC Chairman Ed Holdgate, "and voters need to know who stands up for the voiceless babies and who sits on the fence while babies die and women are wounded."

  • ELECTION 2004 RESULTS ARE IN

This election season brought some good news, and some bad news.   We are very disappointed that the votes were not quite enough to return pro-lifers Craig Benson as Governor, David Wheeler as Executive Councilor, and Russ Prescott as State Senator.  All campaigned valiantly and honorably, and we hope they enjoy their 2 year "vacation" because we need them back all rested!   We are very pleased that all other candidates NHRTL-PAC supported were returned to office.   We welcome new State Senators Bob Letourneau and Peter Bragdon, and look forward to closely working with them.   It turns out the NHRTL Trustees Kathy Souza and Barbara Hagan were both re-elected, but Trustee Warren Goddard was not able to win, running in the relatively liberal Portsmouth.    NHRTL-PAC congratulates the following State Senators on their wins:
         Dist 2  SEN. CARL JOHNSON
         Dist 4  SEN. BOB BOYCE
         Dist 9  SEN. SHEILA ROBERGE
         Dist 11  SEN. PETER BRAGDON
         Dist 17  SEN. JACK BARNES
         Dist 18  SEN. ANDY MARTEL
         Dist 19  SEN. BOB LETOURNEAU

  • GRIEVOUS ERRORS BY NH BUSH-CHENEY CAMPAIGN     In a painful relevation, NHRTL discovered that the NH Bush-Cheney campaign accidentally leased their Manchester headquarters from the very same property management group (Metropolis) that owns the Manchester Planned Parenthood abortuary. For three weeks in March 2004, NHRTL implored them to quietly move out but they have declined.   Much as we appreciate the pro-life efforts of President Bush, his mid-level decision maker doesn't care enough about the babies to stop giving lease money to a group that owns an abortion mill.   Click here to read the NHRTL Press Release on the matter in Acrobat PDF.

  • Fr. James O'Connor
February 21, 2004 brought sad news about Fr. James O'Connor passing on.  For years and years his diligent faithfulness was a graceful example of Christian loving kindness. Fr. O'Connor earnestly served the pro-life community with his prayers, his presence, his service, and his sacrifices. He was a trustee and chaplain of New Hampshire Right to Life, often writing essays for the NHRTL News and leading prayerful witnesses on behalf of babies in jeopardy and the women seeking abortions. His prayers frequently sought the conversion of those involved in the abortion industry, and always offered a sense of purpose and hope for those defending the right to life. Fr. O'Connor made many trips to the annual March for Life in Washington, as well as helping at the annual pro-life Marches in Concord. He genuinely relished riding his bicycle, even in the cold and wet. Dear Fr. O'Connor will be sorely missed.
